Search in Corpus


The text corpus is a collection of texts in Armenian. It currently contains parts of larger works.

You may search for a word or part of a word in all of the texts listed. Results of your search - phrases in which the word is found - will be displayed along with the name of the work, the author and place of publication. If you wish to see more of the text, click on the name of the work, which is highlighted in red.

Our goal is to make available entire works of Western Armenian literature, newspapers and non-fiction so that they can be searched electronically - so that users see how words are used in context - and so that they can be downloaded as e-books.

You can search for a word or a part of a word. Searches for phrases will come in the next development phase:

  • To find ան for example, simply enter ան.
  • The results will display the ան in as many contexts as it appears in the corpus.
  • To find all words beginning with ան, enter ան*.
  • To find all words ending in ան, enter *ան.
  • To find all words containing ան, enter *ան*.
